Toothless in Alabama

At last, that dangling little rascal is out!

It's been weeks now. Wiggling, watching, waiting. Which one would it be?? Three loose teeth in my baby boy's mouth at once, and the least expecting one....was pulled today by good ol' Dad. No, not with one of his grisly pliers, but gently with a corner of a brawny paper towel. Not too much blood shed and absolutely no tears. I mean, you would have thought we pulled a golden nugget out of his mouth by the look on his face.
We have entered a new phase of childhood. ...yes, the phase of big ol' front teeth way too big for that face, and the reality of the orthodontics in our future.
Actually, we've been awaiting the fate of these teeth for 3 years now, ever since he bit the pavement at playgroup a few years ago. That trauma sent us rushing out on our first visit to the dentist expecting the worst. We just knew that those darkened little teeth wouldn't make it much longer, but low & behold, three years later, out it would come just as mother nature intended.

Tooth Fairy, wherever you are, please find us tonight....and bring on the cold, hard, cash!

Congratulations Gabe-How exciting!!
I hope the tooth fairy brings you lots of money! :)

Chloe hasn't even lost any of her top teeth yet. I must admit I am not exactly looking forward to those big new teeth either. I just means they're growing up way too fast.

Yay Gabe!!! Are you really old enough to be losing your teeth and playing with guns and Power Rangers and playing t-ball? Can't wait to hear what the Tooth Fairy brought you...or better yet...if you SAW the Tooth Fairy! When last we talked about it, you thought she was probably little. Let us know if you got to see her!
