How did this little bundle of baby become such a real, interactive person in such a short period of time?? I have not been diligent about keeping the blog updated with Amelia's milestones, but let me catch up today. This little sweetie is sooo on the go! October 23 she began crawling on all fours...and on a mission! (Which enabled her to be at my feet at all times, making her quite happy!) We've even had a couple of pull-ups...not quite ready for that one. With pull-ups come fall-downs. This I can wait on!
About 3 weeks ago I felt her 1st tooth (bottom right) poke through those sweet little pink gums. And then a week later, the other. Now that toothless grin sports two little white bumps peeking out. No major biting...yet, thankfully!
It is getting even better. Just when I was getting discouraged because the child had uttered not a consonant (and according to the books, we were lagging behing on the babbles), low & behold, Monday she began alot of ba buh buhs (which Gabe insists is Buba for "brother"). And my prize moment, Ma-ma! No sweeter sound to a mommy!
Even on the go, she still finds time to give me sweet baby lovin'. Like when I say..."gi-momma-kiss" she can plant me with a wide open mouth dripping with slobber and of course I think it is the sweetest thing ever! This along with her wild laughter has won me over.
Am I gloating a bit?? Are you thinking..blah, blah, blah with all this incessant baby banter??? If so, mission accomplished. After all, I am the mommy and who else is going to do this job of making her rotten to the core?
