Ansley: In Review

Ansley made her stage debut a couple weeks age at her 1st (& perhaps last) ballet recital. I must say it was better than I had expected. The show was quite entertaining, and we actually only sat through an hour of other performances to see Ansley's 1 1/2 minutes of fame. As much as she didn't want to go to ballet class every Wednesday, she stuck with it and in the end I think she may have actually enjoyed the recital. There's not much sweeter than 3 & 4 year olds prancing around in pink leotards!

Can you believe I got all that curly hair "slicked back"?? It actually ended up being easier than I thought. The funny part is that Amelia looked at her as if she didn't know who she was. You realize that there is a beautiful little girl under all that hair!

just sweet...

Roses for her performance....

But really all Ansley would rather be doing is climbing a tree. She has gotten pretty good at that this spring. She has her favorite tree and scales it any chance she gets.

That or coloring. That is her other passion. Drawing & coloring. Luckily Dada has found the honey whole at work with lots of plain white scrap paper, perfect for drawing.
I must say that the hard-headed little girl that has given me fits over clothes, hair, and just plain being nice, has blossomed into a sweet, sweet little girl. Perhaps she was misunderstood for a while, but let me tell you, she is full of some sweet lovin' these days. I love you Ansley!

Ansley, you are so beautiful and fun and smart and sweet and well mannered and...well...just a joy to be around. Maybe your mom could post one of your pictures on here one day! I hope you are having a wonderfully fun summer. Hope to see swimming pictures soon!

Love,
Mrs. Jennifer
