For months, we have answered his questions, maybe offering more information than he really needed to know. He has counted almost every McCain sign in town, comparing them to how many Obama signs there were. I didn't worry until he began staying up late to watch the debates. Believe me, I have not encouraged this behavior! Please do not tell me we have a budding politician on our hands! Yikes!
So last week, his school had their mock election. When Gabe got home, I of course asked election results. (McCain 340ish?, Obama 107) I asked Gabe who his best friend (who shall remain nameless) voted for:
"Well, (smirking) he voted for McCain, only after I set him straight. He said he was gonna vote for Baracka Bama (that is how they say it), and I said 'Dude, he's awful!, He will take your five dollars!' So he voted for John McCain. As a matter of fact, I set some others straight too. Except **Jane**(identity protection inserted), and she's just a hard democrat. Her momma said she thinks Baracka Bama is just a good man. ..Mama, how much of our money will John McCain take?"
"Not near as much honey"...
John needs Gabe up in Ohio, Michigan, & Pennsylvania. He could "set some people straight"!
Next week, I guess we'll introduce him to the term 'socialism'......just kiddin'.
VOTE!!!!

Hey Mandy, So cute!!! We had a prayer group of moms from my care group get together last night and pray for our children, our country and this election. We should have had Gabe there to lead the group :) I can't believe you haven't posted since August...get on the ball girl !!! Hope your day today is going better. Love you, Candy
at least someone has some sense. Unfortunately, he's not of age to count his vote for real. If he turns out to be a politician, we'll vote for him! Gabe for President!!!
I love it! Wish more people went and voted for John.
Yeah you should start teaching him about socialism...or even maybe communism. Did I say that? Oops :)
